The RV Roost Explore map of 33,000+ campgrounds across the US and Canada.

What is RV Roost?

RV Roost is an AI-powered RV trip planner. You tell it where you're headed, how many days you have, and how far you'll drive in a day, and it builds a complete, rig-aware itinerary — routes, overnight campgrounds that fit your RV, and worthwhile stops — then puts it on your phone for turn-by-turn navigation. See What RV Roost is and how it works.

Is there a free version?

Yes. The free plan needs no credit card. It includes the full Explore map of 33,000+ campgrounds with reviews and photos, and lets you plan and save one trip of up to three nights. See Free vs Pro plans.

How much does RV Roost cost?

There's a free plan at $0, a monthly plan at $12.99 per month, and an annual plan at $59 per year (about $4.92 a month). Paid plans start with a 7-day free trial and you can cancel anytime. The pricing page has the current details.

Does it work for big rigs?

Yes. Enter your rig's length, height, and weight in your RV profile, and routes avoid low clearances, weight-limited bridges, and propane-restricted tunnels, while campground picks respect your dimensions. See How RV-aware routing works.

Is there a mobile app with navigation?

Yes — companion apps for iPhone and Android provide spoken, rig-aware turn-by-turn navigation, with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, plus offline maps. The apps are part of a paid plan. See RV Roost on iPhone and Android.

Where does the campground data come from?

Campground data is compiled from Recreation.gov, OpenStreetMap, and Parks Canada — 33,000+ campgrounds across the US and Canada. There's live availability and direct booking for every federal campground and for state parks in 10 states (California, Arizona, Florida, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin, and Michigan). See Use the Explore map.

Can I edit the trips the AI creates?

Absolutely. Swap in different campgrounds, add or remove stops, change how many nights you stay, and add attractions — then save the trip to your account. See Edit your itinerary.

Can I share a trip or plan with other people?

Yes. Send a view-only link to show a trip, or an editable link so travel partners can help build it, with every change tracked. See Share a trip and Collaborate on a trip.

Can I use my itinerary offline or in another app?

Yes. Export a trip to a printable PDF, a GPX file for your GPS, a calendar (ICS) file, or a spreadsheet (XLSX), and download offline maps in the mobile apps. Exports and the apps are part of a paid plan. See Export your trip.

Can I share a journal of my trip as I travel?

Yes. The Trip Journal lets you add photos and a note to each stop and post them so friends and family can follow along by link or email — and you can publish any entry as a public review. See Keep a Trip Journal.

Can I book a campground inside RV Roost?

For private RV parks in the Spot2Nite network, yes — filter the map to "Bookable via Spot2Nite," then pick your dates and a site and pay in-app, and the reservation lands on your trip. Federal campgrounds and state parks in supported states link out to their own booking systems. See Book a private RV park in-app with Spot2Nite.
