Free vs Pro plans — what's included
RV Roost has a free plan and two paid plans. The free plan lets you try the core of the product with no credit card; paid plans unlock unlimited trips, exports, sharing, and the mobile navigation apps. This page lays out exactly what's in each.

The free plan
The free plan costs nothing and needs no card. It includes:
- The full Explore map of 33,000+ campgrounds, with reviews and photos.
- One saved trip of up to three nights.
It's the right way to see how the AI planner works and whether the campground picks fit your rig before you pay for anything.
Paid plans
A paid plan removes the limits and unlocks everything:
- Unlimited trips, with no cap on nights per trip.
- Exports — PDF, GPS (GPX), calendar (ICS), and spreadsheet (XLSX).
- Trip sharing and collaboration — view-only links and editable links for travel partners.
- The editable trip cost estimator — fuel and lodging.
- The iPhone and Android apps — turn-by-turn navigation, CarPlay and Android Auto, offline maps, satellite basemap, and weather radar.
- Changes that sync between the website and the mobile apps.
Pricing
- Free — $0, no card.
- Monthly — $12.99 per month.
- Annual — $59 per year (about $4.92 a month — a large saving over paying monthly).
Each paid plan starts with a 7-day free trial, and you can cancel anytime. For the current, authoritative pricing, see the pricing page.
How the trial works
When you start a paid plan, the first 7 days are free. If you cancel before the trial ends, you won't be charged. See Manage your account and subscription for how to upgrade, downgrade, or cancel.
Which should you pick?
- Just exploring? Stay on the free plan and browse the map or plan a short trip.
- Taking a real trip? A paid plan pays for itself the first time you export a GPX to your GPS, share the plan with a travel partner, or navigate from your phone.
